Event & Festival Lighting

Environmental lighting design and large-scale nature & architectural lighting installations for gatherings has become a passion over the last five years. By illuminating forests for music festivals, I create magical nighttime experiences in places that can often feel intimidating after dark, as well as illuminating environmental hazards for safe festival-going experiences. By highlighting the architectural structures, the container can be accentuated to provide an impactful sense of place and scale.

This work involves complex vairables, such as covering large areas, pathway/cable management, weather-proofing, ensuring durability, and minimizing the impact on the natural environment and architectural features. It often requires plenty of planning and a willingness to make changes on the fly.
